About Gail

Gail teaches her first yoga class at 18 months.

Gail Spirit Sky is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and Reiki Master.

After thirty years of teaching elementary school, Gail Spirit Sky became a yoga teacher. In 2003 she was certified by Judith Lasater as a Relax & Renew ® Instructor and was certified in 2007 as an Advanced Relax and Renew ® Instructor. Gail offers stressed people a way to relax and become energized. Gail teaches a restorative workshop monthly at the Yoga on High studio in Columbus, OH.

She completed a one year teacher training program in 2005 and was certified by Yoga on High and registered by the Yoga Alliance at the 200 hour level. Gail finished 300 more training hours and was certified by Yoga on High and was registered by the Yoga Alliance at the 500 hour level in 2006. She has studied with Rodney Yee, Angela Farmer, Thomas Myers, and Claudia Cummins.

She is an adjunct professor at Capital University, teaching Yoga 101 as well as faculty and staff yoga. In addition to private yoga students and speaking at conferences, Gail teaches yoga classes for special populations. These include: kid’s yoga, prenatal yoga, students with Multiple Sclerosis, and chair yoga for seniors. She truly has students of all ages.

In addition to yoga, Gail is a Reiki Master, practices Tai Chi, and is a long time meditator.

Breathe, Stretch, and Relax

Breathe, Stretch and Relax is a program of gentle practical activities for use in the workplace. It will give participants energy and relieve stress through deep breathing, stretching and relaxation that can be done in an office setting. Deep breathing allows for focusing attention, stretching gives energy, and relaxation reduces stress.

Deep breathing allows the mind to clear and will aid in focusing attention for the next task. Stretches give energy to the stressed body. Energizing chair stretches will be taught. Skills will be taught to relieve eye strain. An exercise in tensing and relaxing each part of the body, will reduce stress and give energy. This workshop can be presented in 30 minutes to five hours.

Participants will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate stress reduction breathing techniques.
  2. Experience and demonstrate stretches that increase focus and energy.
  3. Apply relaxation techniques in the workplace.

This program will be an enjoyable time to feel better today and tomorrow.

Gail is also available to teach yoga classes at your conference.

Hearts of Love

Their gentle weight helps you fall into relaxation. Lie down and place the Hearts of Love on your open palm or on your heart. Rest easy.

Chakra Hearts

These seven hearts are small hearts of love in the chakra colors. They are just the right size to fit in your hand or pocket as a relaxation reminder.
